17A-Elevator Pitch

I actually realized that I must have missed the last elevator pitch, as I did not do the assignment. So this is my first

  1. I like that you grabbed my attention right at the start of the video! You have a commanding presence and I liked the casual but confident vibe of your speaking style. I also like that the blazer dressed up your outfit and made it professional but cool. I also liked that you incorporated your guitar into the pitch, and had more instruments in view behind you. It seemed like towards the end you sort of lost the clarity of what you wanted to say, but you finished with a "thank you for your time" which is always a clean way to finish a speech/pitch/presentation of any kind, and it leaves a good impression. The only thing I really have to say is to pay attention to how much you move your body throughout the pitch. Moving around communicates nervousness. If you have a lot of trouble with it, try tying a belt around your legs so you aren't shifting from one side of the camera to the other. If you practice your pitch a few times like that you'll get used to sitting still (you can still use your hands to help get your point across, but the leg shuffling is what is distracting). Keep up the good work! Great job!

  2. Hi Danny! Great idea to use your guitar as a prop and literally jump into frame! It gets your audience’s attention right away. I really enjoyed this! You set the tone so high with so much energy at the beginning that it kept me wondering what was next. However, the speech seemed to lose steam and focus toward the end. The close is just as important as the opening, just like with music.
